Job Description

The Enterprise IT Training Consultant will ensure all stakeholders and end-users in the organization are fully informed, educated, and trained on topics related to technology and continuous process improvements relevant to their roles. The Specialist will have heavy input on training strategies that will impact employees, users, and stakeholders. The Specialist will be responsible for building training material and tracking compliance with curriculum requirements and driving strategy, technology, and process improvements that will increase organizational capability through training and knowledge sharing.

Job Relationships

Reports to the Director of Organizational Change Management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to educate stakeholders and end-users on technology-related topics and continuous improvements pertinent to their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and SMEs to evaluate and identify training needs and priorities, providing valuable input on training strategies and approaches.
  • Design and create engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, tutorials, and online resources, to support effective learning.
  • Deliver training to end-users through training sessions and distribution of learning content to ensure understanding of technologies and improvements relevant to their roles.
  • Ensure compliance with curriculum requirements and standards by tracking and monitoring training activities and participant progress.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing training guidance and support to individuals and teams on technology and process-related matters.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance organizational capability through training and knowledge sharing, advocating for best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in training and development, incorporating relevant advancements into training programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues, promoting a culture of learning and professional development within the organization.
  • Facilitate onboarding for IT staff, encompassing training on relevant applications and technologies, as well as providing an overview of departmental functions and procedures to ensure seamless integration.
  • Manage a knowledgebase of learning content related to technology, ensuring information is current, accurate, and accessible to support end-user learning initiatives.
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in education or similar discipline preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering education is required.
  • 2-3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience using Adobe Captivate and/or similar training material authoring platform preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Should have an inherent passion for technology, business processes, operational efficiency, automation, and other related concepts.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a new and unknown environment and or ever-shifting priorities.
  • Possesses skills in developing relationships with organizational leadership, business/clinical users, and other stakeholders in gathering support for any training initiatives.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction in the successful execution of any training project.
  • Proven skills in effectively leading and facilitating training/meetings.
  • Strong communication skills with an understanding of training principles and dynamics.
  • Openness to learning new skills and willingness to undergo training from the direct supervisor.

Working Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Team-oriented environment utilizing collaboration with peers.
  • Sitting and/or standing for long periods/computer work.
