Wieland is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing a full range of support by managing day-to-day administration of various HR policies and procedures in East Alton, IL. This role is located in East Alton, IL and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities:

    Provide general administrative duties including filing, mailing, scanning, faxing, and coordination of meetings.
  • Manage human resource records within Ceridian Dayforce HCM, employee-related databases and employment files.
  • Manage the Attendance Control Program for the hourly workforce, administering discipline and terminations as necessary.
  • Process workers' compensation claims and facilitate communication between the Company and third-party administrators.
  • Maintain Human Resources Website through SharePoint.
  • Process all Accounts Payable/Receivable through SAP for the Human Resource department.
  • Plan and conduct New Hire Orientation for hourly and salary employees.
  • Manage unemployment claims.
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies and practices to establish a positive employer/employee relationship and promote a high level or employee morale and motivation.
  • Provide support for employee programs, policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with government regulations including Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
  • Assist in researching and drafting new and revised policies and procedures.
  • Provide service as a first point of contact for HR related questions.
  • Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • Responsible to run weekly manual checks.
  • Performs special projects and duties as assigned.

Human Resources Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work related experience, preferable experienced working with Unions.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work within a team structure in support of company objectives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and confident in independent decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and SharePoint preferred.
