Job Summary

Duties include the setup, operation, and teardown of audio, video, and lighting systems and equipment in the Bone Student Center and Braden Auditorium. Stagehands will work under the supervision of full-time staff and student managers on a regular basis.

This is a flexible, event-based position, where stagehands will have the opportunity to sign up to work events around their class schedules. You may also have the opportunity to work throughout summer and winter break.

Events worked have the potential to be physically and mentally demanding. They may also last for long periods of time. Stagehands should be prepared to work long hours and in highly demanding conditions. Tasks may involve working from ladders, lifts, and catwalks.

Upon employment, the individual shall partake in and complete the basic and level I sections of the training program in this area.

Pay Rate

$14.25 per hour

Required Qualifications

- Availability to work Weekends on a rotating schedule (Generally every third weekend)
- Availability and willingness to work during the day, early mornings, late nights, and evenings (based around class schedule)

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of common hand tools
- Prior knowledge of sound, lighting, and projection equipment
- Positive attitude
- Ability to think on your feet

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

- Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
