We are seeking a Plant Operations Manager for our customer, County Materials located in Springfield, IL.

Job Duties:

• Oversees the daily production operations of the plant.
• Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed.
• Develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers.
• Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.
• May be required to meet certain certifications in field.
• Reports to head of a unit or Dept.
• Plant Operations Managers manage production processes including raw materials management, quality, throughput and staffing.

Work Environment:

• Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
• Work in a noisy environment

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Leads and directs the work of others.
• Wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
