Qualifications
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License preferred
  • Background and interest in Drama
  • Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
  • Effective communication skills with students and adults
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
Compensation
  • This is a Differential position. The differential pay scale can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Federation of Teachers, which is available on our website. Coaches with 5+ years of experience are compensated at a higher rate than those with more limited experience. Employment as a coach is on an at-will basis.

Important Notes
  • The Assistant Drama Director will be responsible for supporting the Drama Director in the various performances. The primary role will be to contact various outside outlets (vendors, schools, costume shops, media, technicians, etc.) with requests and announcements for each production. The Assistant Drama Director will take an active role in publicity for Centennial productions and set deadlines for poster, program, and ticket creation. The Assistant Drama Director may assist in technical and creative aspects of the productions when required and will collaborate with the Drama Director in planning the upcoming shows for each season.
